Last word on floods

Just a final thought on Bottler and the floods-that-weren't.

After having so conspicuously taken personal charge of the anti-flooding measures last night, was he secretly hoping that the flooding would be as bad as forecast, allowing him to recreate his triumphs of the summer when his calm and measured response to the floods in the Midlands played such a large role in underlining his popularity and air of gravitas?

Is he just a teeny bit miffed that large parts of the country didn't wake up underwater this morning?

Have even the elements turned against him now?

How disappointing for him.
Some might call it 'Disaster Socialism.' For a cogent explanation as to how this works see here
